Pagla Ghoda is adapted from an Bengali play of the same name and stars Chitrangada Chakraborty in her debut tv movie which was released on hotstar. The film tells the story about four men who come at a graveyard during the night time to burn the body of an unknown women and hence discuss there individual stories about life which is mostly shown in flashbacks rather than there narratives.
The film tries to show that part of society which is responsible for helding back of many individual dreams which are rather suppressed than given a chance to follow them. The women are more affected by these rules of society as they are easy targets of these male dominant society. But Pagla Ghoda doesn't just focuses on women's problem like we generally see in many films which are based on same theme but it also tells the problem faced by men due to these oppressive rules of society and that is one of the reasons that make Pagla Ghoda an unique film.
The film starts in a graveyard where these four men gather and tell there stories and it is all so unique in the way it is told. The way the problem's are addressed is so beautifully and disturbingly told thanks to it's writing and direction from Bikas who chooses an rather unique way to deliver us the movie.
The actors have done there job wonderfully. This is Chitrangada Chakraborty's debut and she really has a spark to become a great actress. Even Anshuman, Ravi, Gopal and Vikram do there parts to perfection and give there best performance which makes this movie very, very watchable.
This movie is really recommended. Though the play it has been adapted from was made in 1960's, the theme and message it carries is valid even today in our time. Definitely a film not to be missed.
