The Room is a 2003 film directed by Tommy Wiseau who also stars in the movie and it is widely regarded as the worst film ever made. With The Disaster Artist releasing soon in the theatres, let's take a look at this horrible cult film in this review.
The film is basically a love story between three people's - Johnny, Lisa and Mark. Lisa makes out with Johnny but doesn't love him anymore. She wants to be with Mark who is Johnny's best friend and starts sleeping around with him. This step taken by Lisa has some serious consequences which leads to a "bloody" finale.
Make no mistake, this film is really awful, very awful. The movie has really crazy scenes that cannot be described, just see them to witness there awfulness. There is a famous "I did not hit her" rooftop scene and one that takes place in a flower shop just to name a few which are just horrendous and funny which is definitely the reason why this movie is horrible and at the same time a fun film to watch with your friends.
Of course the film was not made in the way people see it. They wanted to make a dark film but it fleshed out to be very different and it met with hatefulness from both audience and critics alike. People hated it so much that now it has attained a cult following and can be enjoyed by anyone who just wants to have a good time. The sex scenes are filmed like a 90's porn video which pop up quite frequently during the first few minutes of the film. This is seriously a very bad film.
